My Unplanned Sabbatical

A journey with follicular lymphoma

School holidays

First day of school holidays. We packed up and drove to the beach. Girls noted how unusual but nice it was for me to be on holidays with them. I think they are right.

Quiet day. Board games, reading, walking the dog and the mandatory afternoon sleep.

Nausea has passed but feeling really fatigued. More blood tests on Wednesday so should get an update on what is going on inside.

Weather is un seasonally warm.

Don’t worry – we are keeping an eye on the house . Sure we are in the pool while we do it – but same same. No plants have wilted on our watch…

  5. Hi Serge & Pet & ‘the girls’ (winners are grinners’!) – a lot happens in a week – firstly thanks to you guys for a very nice Sunday ‘Sunday week ago’, Serge a super human effort to be up and about, enjoy lunch, do tennis with my boys and we could see you were tired
We are now inundated with everything is ‘sic’ at Serges place and I now have to speed up the tennis court and the auto server before next summer!!! this would be awsome sic! so I am told
Serge the Sat nav will be great thanks. We had a great week in Port Douglas at NuremayaResort (very nice) just chilling out and relaxing, reading walking on the beach and ‘eating out’. Just read David Gillespies ‘Big Fat Lies’ – we are now off all sugar and polyunsaturated fats (yeah right!) – its an interesting read from a lawyers perspective (I believe he’s written three books)I had heard him on radio national and bought the book after hearing him.
Enjoy the beach, Easter with family, the big ‘Golden Elm’- Petra keep away from pools in the company of iphones lol
    Thanks again

Mick & Donna Matt & Mickey

PS what a great game of footy the Hawks and we are not talking about the Tigers till next week
