My Unplanned Sabbatical

A journey with follicular lymphoma

One down

As I mentioned last night seeking to approach today with less anxiety and a more positive attitude.

I did glance up over my left shoulder to welcome my friend that I share a love, hate relationship with.

One black bag down and I asked the nurse if I could have a little umbrella and olive with the second black bag.

I don’t think she gets me.

ahhh the dreaded ‘black bag’ a necessary evil in your life for the moment. It’s shiny black surface and wolby content looking down on you from a height. must be like dancing with Opra?
1 down – and hopefully a reducing number of black bags to go.
    Keep at it Duch

You and your sense of humour Serg! Glad your results were pleasing and that the contents of the black bag (with or without the olive & little umbrella) are working their magic. Thinking of u. Hang in there!

Terrific. Almost as good as the Christopher Hitchens diaries. Have you gotten into audiobooks to while the hours away?

Really great to hear the treatment is progressing well and the tumours are receding.

“I dont think she gets me” – how funny. Can just imagine the stoney faced looks you get when you try and knock them out with your humour . Makes me laugh 🙂

Keep embracing the bag SD. You are making great headway

Just learnt about your blog, Serge. Good on you! You are providing inspiration to the rest of us who pray we never have to handle the things you and your family are handling now. So good to hear the wretched ‘medecine’ is working its magic – even if the cure seems worse than the disease. Keep up with the humour as you can – it’ll keep the nurses on their toes! Love to Petra and the kids, too.

Glad to hear that good news. Something that helps with the after effects of the black bag syndrome; grass and not that one that grows in your garden. Yes its true and confirmed from a friend of mine who was in the same situation – prescribed by her doctor. You may want to give it a go for medicinal purposes only of course!!

    • Hi Sophie

I heard Eugene was in Australia for a while. I have not caught up with him yet.

I am so spaced out already that would put me into a coma!

Hope life in Majorca is blissful.
